An invitation to discover!
The remains of Les Baux-de-Provence bear witness to the richness of its past. They have captured the hearts of artists who have contributed to their revival.
If legends give a romantic vision of the past, the notion of heritage reinvents its contours to reinterpret it.
As the starting point for the exhibition Regards sur Les Baux-de-Provence, this rereading of the history of Les Baux-de-Provence shows us a place that is alive and kicking, in tune with the times and continuing to shine throughout the world.
The exhibition itself is housed in a place with a rich past, having been successively a home, an oil mill and a museum.
The contemporary structure, designed by Pavel Lomakin, is reusable and modular. Designed as a giant construction set, it is also suitable for children.
A castle, a rock, a quarry, a medieval building, the wooden framework changes shape according to the imagination.
Regards sur Les Baux-de-Provence presents images and objects from artistic, iconographic and architectural collections.
These rarely exhibited works invite visitors to discover Les Baux-de-Provence through the eyes of artists offering a unique vision of this exceptional heritage.
