Village and Heritage
Discover one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France and its places steeped in history.
From the village streets to the ruins of the Château des Baux-de-Provence, artist Audrey Guimard presents a series of monumental works carved from local stone.
The exhibition La pierre en résonance revives the memory of ancestral craftsmanship through a contemporary reflection on time and material.
Emerging directly from the rock, the works invite visitors on a timeless journey throughout the summer.
Artist Audrey Guimard, recipient of the Académie des savoir-faire of the Hermès Corporate Foundation, presents a body of work that echoes the ancestral gestures of quarry workers and medieval builders, reinterpreting them through a contemporary and poetic lens.
Through a series of monumental sculptures, fountains and totems, the exhibition explores humanity’s relationship with stone. From quarry extraction to sculpted form, tool marks and fractures become a genuine visual language.
In dialogue with water, glass and the reflections of brass, the mineral material reveals both its strength and its fragility.
“I conceived each work as a point of tension between permanence and transformation, between weight and vibration, between density and transparency, between vessel and fragment.” Audrey Guimard
Through La pierre en résonance, Audrey Guimard’s creations offer a reflection on the passage of time.
Presented by Galerie Amélie du Chalard and curated by Clara Le Fort, this exhibition invites visitors to slow down, to feel, and to observe the landscape from a new perspective.
