After taking part in the temporary group exhibition Laisser une trace in 2022, the Slovakian artist is returning to the museum with a personal, colourful style inspired by the world of plants.

His canvases, which combine graphic and figurative motifs, echo those of Yves Brayer in their colours and compositions.

Michal Korman (1987) began his artistic training at the age of 5 in children’s classes given by the Slovak academic painter Jozef Jelenak.

In 2005, he manifested his specific style: a combination of graphic oil painting marked with his signature as a logotype.

Since then, he has continued to develop his personal style of traditional oil painting, using figurative motifs and graphics. This led to his first solo exhibition outside Slovakia in Brussels in 2009.

In 2016, he began working with what has since become his signature themes: plants and flowers. Michal lives and works in Paris.
