Christmas sheepfold

21 December to 5 January (except 25 Dec. and 1 Jan.)

Various places in the village

The children will find, as every year, the Christmas sheepfold, set up in a cot, on the church square.

Shepherdess Agathe Berthier looks after sheep, ewes and lambs under a shelter dug into the rock and walks them through the narrow streets of the village.

Talk to her and let her tell you all about the shepherd’s trade, transhumance and the legends associated with pastoralism in Provence.

The flock parades through the village streets at 11.00 pm and grazing on the esplanade of the Château at 3.00 pm.
