Entirely designed for the immersive site of Les Baux-de-Provence, Picasso, The Art in Motion offers a visual and sound experience that enhances the monumental volumes and mineral character of the Carrières des Lumières.
This projected retrospective invites visitors to discover the diversity of techniques explored by the artist beyond painting and drawing, including engraving, sculpture, collage, assemblage, folding, and ceramics.
Presented as a short program, in dialogue with Picasso, The Art in Motion, the experience dedicated to Frida Kahlo offers a sensitive and introspective counterpoint, revealing the power and poetry of her work.

This year, the Carrières des Lumières in Les Baux-de-Provence present a spectacular immersion into the heart of Pablo Picasso’s work.
Images, colors, and music unfold across the monumental limestone walls, revealing the power, freedom, and modernity of his creation.
Created with the authorization of Picasso Administration, the experience draws on more than 450 artworks, archives, and videos, offering a visual and sound journey through the major stages of his career, from Spain to France, from Les Demoiselles d’Avignon to Guernica.

Immerse yourself in the world of Frida Kahlo and enter the heart of a life shaped by passion, freedom, and pain.
This immersive experience invites visitors to explore the intimacy and creative strength of the Mexican artist through an explosion of colors, symbols, and emotions.
Through monumental projections, the walls of the Carrières des Lumières trace the major stages of her life and work, from self-portraits marked by suffering to paintings asserting her identity and commitment.
Frida Kahlo transforms pain into art, and the intimate into the universal.
