In nature we sometimes hear birds but rarely see them.

The aim here is to capture, through a slow and meticulous approach, the personality of each animal in order to reproduce an attitude, a colour, a situation, a fight, an expectation and even a certain tenderness of these sometimes little-known birds.

Michel Bacquet, an amateur photographer since he was 22 years old, is used to travelling far and wide with his city and landscape photos.

He has been attracted, over the years, by Italy (Veneto and Tuscany), but also by France, with the Luberon, closer to home, as well as Aix en Provence where he lives. A few years ago he finally discovered the beauty of birds in the Camargue.

During his long breaks in the calm and serenity of the Camargue nature, he often has the impression that the birds are posing for him!

He then likes to work on his images as if they were fashion photos, applying the same treatment to his bird portraits as some studio photographers.
