For the artist, the desire to paint was born following numerous “flashes” of colour… A mixture of textures and materials that she saw in her head. The need to create became obvious.
She started to paint in her kitchen, taking what she had at hand: children’s gouaches, cardboard, recycled paper, etc. Then she got into the habit of using simple objects found in the kitchen and recycling packaging as a painter’s palette.
In this improvised workshop, she experimented with various painting techniques (sponge, chopsticks, knives…) and started making collages (paper, string and even food).
“I would create a base, with irregularities that I would then fill in with paint to bring out the flaws, creating a new balance and some visual harmony.”
Abstract art is a way for her to bring out the imprints of life and leave a mark of her emotions on a canvas. Each canvas is a story told or a poem of colour.
