From 2 March to 6 January, Carrières de Lumieres

The show of Carrières de Lumières redraws a century of Spanish painting wth the show Picasso & the Spanish masters.

From the court of Spain to the rural scenes of Goya, we will travel through the charming gardens of Rusiñol, admire the portraits of Zuloaga and scenes by the sea of the bright Sorolla.

The Andalusian rhythms will plunge us into the abundant pictorial universe of Picasso, in perpetual evolution, the artist, pivot of the art of the XXth century delivers us a masterpiece, intense and striking.

Short show → Flower Power - Pop Culture
The Carrières de Lumières are transformed into an imaginary city where the spectators are invited to stroll and follow the steps of the generation of the end of the 60s. At the rhythm of the Beatles, the Stones, of Hendrix and other icons of the pop, you will dive into the psychedelic atmosphere of the “Pop art” and the “Performing Art” and will travel between Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco, Of St-Mark Place in New York, in Grove in London …

A dedicated area is used for showings of extracts from Jean Cocteau’s film, “The Testament of Orpheus”, which was filmed in the depths of the quarry in 1959.
