Learning to taste Olive Oil

From April to September every Tuesday and Thursday at 10.00 am, Moulin Castelas 

These workshops will introduce you to the subtlety involved in discovering the characteristics of Castelas AOP oils from Les Baux Valley.

Like wine tasting, the tasting of olive oil is a whole carefully-orchestrated experience. All your senses are required to decipher the fragrances and flavours of the olive oil. On the palate, simply by breathing in some air as you do for wine, you'll discover the fresh, intense flavours of olives giving way to notes of raw artichoke, sweet almond etc.

 

The class lasts for approximately one hour and ends with a visit to the mill.
